"Un monde sans tyrans serait aussi ennuyeux qu'un jardin zoologique sans hyenes"

The quote above is to indicate my fascination with authoritarian regimes (and not my misgivings abouts zoos with or without hyenas). Since the world remains a biodiverse ecosystem for political regimes, there is always more to discover about dictatorships, their organization, behavior and how they cooperate in the international system.

Below you will find an overview of my selected (read better) publications. (Everybody has one or two publications they don't want people to find!) Not all of these works are devoted to the study of dictatorship. I find it refreshing to explore some side topics that grab my interest from time to time. Some of the older ones I wrote when I was still a (young) PhD student and others are more scientific essays (marked with an * before my name) than research papers.

Below are only the titles and abstracts of my works, so if you want to browse and download some of my available works, visit my Academia page.

As you can see, in the past I mostly worked on regions like Eurasia, Central Asia and Sub Saharan Africa, but currently I have been branching out to study dictatorships in other worlds regions, like the Indo-Pacific and Latin America.
